Hi, I need help, i'll be working on AutoCAD and i was wondering if a higher resolution would make it easier or better, also im doing some gaming(I hope) and i was thinking on buying either 1280x800 or 1440x900 in a 15.4" Inspiron.
Thanks

I don't think you'll need an extremely high resolution w/ AutoCAD, and the 1440x900 should fit your needs very well.
Note: I have limited experience w/ AutoCAD, so I'm probably not the best person to give you advice on the optimal screen resolution for it.
As to gaming, the 1440x900 is widely held to be the 'sweet spot' for widescreen notebooks (not blurry, not too small). It may give your GPU a little more stress than the 1280x800 causing slowdowns in newer games, but this shouldn't be too big of a problem. -
With those choices I would get 1440X900 more screen realestate, little sharper, I can not see a down side. It is not so much higher resolution as to affect the performance.

The higher resolution means you can get more detail on the screen at any time so there's a little less panning and zooming. I would recommend the 1440 x 900 in preference to 1280 x 800.
