    Hi everyone,
    Do guys hear clicking noise coming from seagate 7200.3?

    anyone has a solution for it?

    I had the same HDD. I didnt have any clicking noise.

    Mine failed though after a few months...

    Maybe yours is going to, thats what iut means sometimes=, although mine never clicked

    I would back up important data for precaution.

    Try getting Notebook Hardware Control though... Go to Harddrive and set to High Proformance and set to no Acoustic Management and see if it stops. ;)

    i hear a tick noise every now and then before I used software to turn off the APM. It's normal for the most part.

    i made a topic about this a long time ago and everybody told me i was a seagate hater. no matter what people say, even with hdparm, seagates 7200.3 will have incessant clicking on some hd, and not on others. I have gone through 3 drives 7200.3 and they all clicked like crazy. I finally settled in a WD black, insanely quiet and just as fast IMO.
