Just bought this external from bestbuy on sale for $89.99, regular price was $119.99. I didn't plan on buying but this was a great deal so I said, why not. The drive came with it's own automatic backup, is it okay to use this or does the windows one has to be used. Is there a difference?

I never opened the boxes, so I don't know about the software, but as somebody who has bought many externals, including Cavalry, WD, SimpleTech and Toshiba...I have to say that I never use the included software. I do my backups using Windows Vista Backup and Restore function.
I am sure others have more experience with this, and perhaps I can learn something from this thread, as well, but I have yet to find software included with a hard drive that is worth anything.
I also have Macrium Reflect on my desktop and may give that a try.
