What matters is if YOU think it's worth the extra money. They both seem great for what they are and are priced accordingly. If you've never used a decently fast ssd before, I can understand how hard it is to justify spending that much money not knowing how much faster it really is. I think it's worth it, but that's MY opinion.

If possible, can you buy one locally that has a return policy? That would be the best way to determine, but it's probably a long shot.

well the thing is that i can only buy the ssd/hhdd in the US with my budget(cause its like 2x more expensive in Korea and Russia, where i live)

once you use a ssd you wont go back. but if you dont want to spend much money just get a hdd. dont go for the hybrids as they are not very good at all.

well the hybrids have much better boot times than the normal hdds, which is kind of my first priority

Boot times aren't everything, though. The SSD will feel snappier, overall.

so if you dont really care about actually read/write speeds, just get a normal harddrive.

if boot up speed is your priority and you dont use a lot of different programs and the price and capacity of an ssd is not appealing to you; then the momentus xt is an excellent choice as shown by phil's graph.
ive used it myslef and it does boot extremely fast under certain circumstances.
