Well, in another link in the article, it looks like Samsung and Seagate are teaming up for SSDs, with Seagate providing the controller and Samsung providing the NAND.
I'm wondering as to what the impact on the consumers would be if the acquisition goes through. Do we no longer see Seagate drives for consumers like us? -
@Forge, that's kind of what they make it sound like, atleast to me.
Going from one of the world's leading hard drive manufacturers to providing controller chips for a third party's SSDs is quite a reduction in their business operation, yes?
