    Secondary cooling fan on DELL C610

    Hi All!

    I just have bought new SUNON cooling fan, it's 100% works and tested by me. But when I have connect it to my DELL C610 and power up my laptop nothing is change :( Laptop works, becomes moderatly hot, but my new cooler doesn't power on. BIOS version is A16.

    Is anybody know how to make secondary fan work?
    May be I should do BIOS upgrade, if so, to what version?
    Any ideas?

    Does the cooling fan have its own power supply or are you connecting it to a USB port? In some cases the USB port might nothave enough power to supply the cooler and in some cases it might be unpowered as well. So make sure you have either an external power supply or if the USB ports have enough juice to support the cooler.

    This is an internal 3-wire cooling fan (SUNON GM0501PFB3-8). I have connected it directly to MB.
