    Seeking Help Upgrading WIFI on new Lenovo Y410p

    Just brought it today!
    seeking to know which wifi card is upgradeable on this system
    (i heard some hardware are white listed in bios.. )

    and hopefully the most stable and best connection possible!
    my wifi router is quite far from me!

    O forgot to add
    The current wifi is
    IntelĀ® Wireless-N 7260
    Would upgrades be needed? if i want to game and not lag and stuff..
    my router is far so my current has 4 bar connection but not stable when i start to use it for game

    Lenovo does whitelist WiFi cards but the 7260 is quite good so you shouldn't have trouble.

    Contact Lenovo and ask for an AC7260 card from them. On an AC router/network - the difference is night and day (close to medium range - at extreme range; the 2.4GHz band is still preferred and you'll still get better performance (actual throughput) with the better AC card.

    I would almost say it doesn't matter what it costs at Lenovo; if you will be more than worth it if you have an AC router during the lifecycle/ownership of the notebook.
