I want to try selling my broken Dell on Ebay. I damaged the screen and it is unviewable. However I did retrieve my info using an external monitor. I attempted to restore the hard drive but I can't get into Dos mode (not viewable during boot-up with the external). I would feel more comfortable selling it with the hard drive restored since I dont know what is on there that may be important or identity sensitive.
Any ideas on how to restore it? I see the window log-in window and get into windows, but to restore it u gotta reboot and press one of the f keys, and everything else in Dos mode. The screen only activates once windows is booted.

You will probably get some more help in the hardware thread. That is why I moved it. :)
