    Hello and thanks in advance.

I received a Dell Inspirion 1501 For Dads Day, It has a socket S1 Sempron 3500
can I upgrade the processor to a Turion X2, And if so does the socket S1 Turion type make a difference, IE TL-50-TL-52-MK-36 etc.

Yes, as long as the Sempron 3500+ is Socket S1 upgrading to a Turion X2 shouldnt be a problem. The TL-56 or TL-60 might be the best X2's to upgrade to from the 3500+.

P.S - The MK-36 is a single core Turion. Only the models with a 'TL' in the begining of their model names are dual core Turions.
