I'm almost set on buying a core duo laptop, but with Merom's release date being August, I'm not so sure anymore. It's vital that I use a laptop to catch up on my programming skills this summer and I wouldn't be able to use my bro's comp much because he's an avid World of Warcraft player. I really don't want to feel ripped off when Merom arrives. What do you guys think I should do? Buy now or later? The new Intel iBook's going to come out soon right? Maybe that'll be a better purchase? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

Buy now, Theres a posibility that you might be able to upgrade the yonah to merom, but if you cant just sell it and buy a new one laptops hold their value pretty well so you wont loose much on the deal.

If you can wait then do so. If not then buy now. There is always going to be new technology. In fact as soon as you buy just about anything there is always something better. Just whatever you do, don't look back.
