    I like the idea, but it sucks that it will set the capacity by the lowest card in the group.

    I had to check the manual for that info lol...
    but It's a nice SDD replacement because it can achieve speeds about 150mb/s... not bad I guess...

    Addonics has made very similar devices for years, but I guess they are not very widespread.

    The Addonics device it's just a 2xCompact Flash to SATA adapter. It fits in a notebook. Although it doesn't have this kind of performance, it achieves a maximum of about 50mb/s (the maximum of a CF card). This Sharkoon costs 90$ vs 30$ for the Addonics.

    8gb sdhc class 6 cards can be had for pretty cheap.
    Im sure if you buy it on ebay (from a reputable seller) you would get a great price especially when buying 6 of these bad boys. I have an 8gb, 4gb, 4gb, 2gb for my DSLR. I find myself only shooting RAW these days :D
