    What are the shock resistance specs of the current 2.5 and 3.5 HDDs?

    Do 2.5 drives still have 3x the shock resistance of 3.5 drives?

    every class/model of drive will be different.

    you'll have to dig these out of the individual mfgrs spec sheets.

    This was from about 7-8 years ago, and I had the spec sheets of two 2.5 and 3.5 drives, and I got the shock tolerance from those.

    Over those 7-8 years there have been 5 new generations of disk drives.

    Sometimes old information has to be thrown out.......
