    Should I be worried about this HDD noise?

    Hi, recently the hard drive on my xps m1530 has been noisy... Should I switch hdd?

    That sounds like normal HDD activity noise.

    I agree with Mr.Mischief, I wouldn't worry unless I started hearing clunks from the HDD.

    Ok thanks, I was just wondering because ive had the drive for a couple of years and it has never been that noisy under normal use. It got to the point where its an annoying sound but ill just learn to live with it lol...

    You can maybe fiddle with APM/AAM with QuietHDD. You can also run a SMART test via HDD Tune and see if it is in good shape.
