The M4 has a lot of street credit, but check this out from Patriot's website:

    "# - Sequential Read & Write Transfer:
    60GB model; Up to 550MB/s read | 500MB/s Write
    240GB & 120GB models; 550MB/s read | 520MB/s Write
    # - Max Random Write IOPS:
    60GB model; Up to 80K
    240GB & 120GB models; Up to 85,000 (4K aligned)"

I'm about to order a GT780DXR and will drop in the SSD myself:

Should I buy 256 M4 or 240 Patriot Pyro SE???

The M4 has more than 'street credit' - it doesn't have a SF based solution waiting to blow up in your face.

The 256GB M4 all the way.

Why not give the Corsair Performance Pro a go? Very good drive. Similar to the M4. Same controller but different NAND. Speedier and probably the fastest real world drive at the moment.

Depend on what price you can get but yeah M4 all the way. Currently its both cheap and decently fast (you cant notice the speed difference unless running test)

One of my gaming friends was telling me I HAD to get the OCZ Vertex 3, because the performance was so much better than the M4. Then a couple weeks ago I got scared off from that thing because his crashed on him...

    Although everything crashes eventually...

Once the bug fix was posted for the M4, the lowest price I could find jumped $20. Was waiting till I could get the necessary cable before I bought thinking that the M4 could only get cheaper with time.... I guess I was wrong.
