    Should one wipe free space on an SSD?

    Any thoughts? Just found this feature on ccleaner and wonder whether it does anything..

    Wiping free space is done if the user is worried that sensitive data might be recovered after deletion. It's up to you whether or not to use this feature ;)

    Wiping and SSD - which means letting a program create fake files to cover deleted files is not that big a deal unless you are worried about security - on the other hand SSD's only have a certain lifespan of writes, so you are killing it faster each time you do that.
