Dang I just had two laptops apart earlier today, the one listed in my sig and a top of the line XPS 1330. Maybe next time I'll remember to take pictures.

No, upgrading my CPU to a T7400. With my laptop, that means I really have to rip the whole thing apart (Acer Aspire 5570).

I had my laptops apart to upgrade the RAM to lower timing memory (the Kingston HyperX as seen in my sig). I had it apart only a couple weeks earlier to clean out the heatsink and fan of dust. Dust accumulates somewhat quickly in laptops, and easily gets trapped in the heatsink fins which have such a narrow spacing in between them.

The notebook showcased is built by Uniwill(Bought by ECS two years ago) and it's called the 258KA0. (AMD Mobile Athlon64 3400+(2.2GHz), Mobility Radeon 9700 128MB 128bit, SIS755 chipet, 7200RPM 60GB Hitachi Travelstar)

The Creative Audigy2 ZS introduced me to the world of good audio quality, so I wouldn't go without it in my future laptops.

Sure it's not as good on the "professional" side, but you can hear the difference over integrated audio controllers

And learn how to use thumbnail images, not everybody has a 1600x2600 resolution monitor so that they dont have to scroll two pages wide to see an image, also its faster for people with a slow connection and saves bandwidth for your image server.

Wow I haven't seen a mobile GPU laid out like that before with the RAM right next to the GPU die and on the same PCB/chip! Looks neat! Never seen RAM and GPU in such close proximity. I like how the video card is upgradeable on that laptop.
