It shows up as 960GB of unallocated space in Windows XP x64. In my dual-booted Windows Vista x64, it shows up as 320GB of partitioned space. I have tried deleting the partition in Windows Vista, but nothing happens. I cannot initialize the disk in Windows XP x64. Any ideas? Attached is a picture of it in Windows XP x64. It is a 320GB Toshiba 2.5" notebook SATAII (300) drive @ 5,400 RPM. It is my secondary drive. My primary HDD is a 200GB Seagate SATAII drive @ 7,200 RPM. I will update with a picture from Windows Vista soon.

You're complaining because you get 3x what you paid for? Maybe this is a prototype of their 1TB laptop model accidentally released in the wild.

Okay, now seriously doesn't the "minus" sign through Disk1 indicate that it is not found although there was a 1TB unit there at some point?

The largest internal drive on any D901C notebook is Samsung's 500GB. Here is a picture of it when I boot in Vista. Also, when I look at it with TestDisk in Windows XP x64, it says "960GB Volume Raid 0". In Windows Vista x64, TestDisk shows "320GB Volume". Now my computer has the capability of taking 3 drives, and 3x320GB at that. But I only have the 200GB and 320GB in right now (I've physically looked at them).

On a side note, I've never owned a 1TB drive (soon, hopefully).

I would try a non Windows partitioner to see what happens. I use Gparted for a lot of partitioning, and it works great. It is a Linux based bootable CD.

Would I partition this outside of Windows from a DVDR?

I would use a CD, its only ~130MB. The GUI is easy to use, and it is powerful. If you have any problems with video output, select VESA in the boot menu.
