Hey folks, got a relatively new laptop that I've recently discovered has a slight gap in the lid. I don't think it's worth the hassle to return or the expense of taking to a repair shop. I was wondering what would be a medium-to-long term solution for such a thing.
I've read online that epoxy glue would be ideal for something like this (I've been reading that it's mostly for broken laptop hinges or cracks, but this should be close, right?) though if that's true, I'm unsure as to what kind to get. Who knew there'd be close to billions of types of epoxy out there..
img 1 - What it normally looks like; a bit of a gap but not really anything open.
img 2 - Slightly open now, me putting some pressure on it (like if you were closing the lid or something).
img 3 - Gaping open; me forcing a fingernail (off camera)
I just want this closed so that dust doesn't get in. Plus the symmetry is ever so slightly off and my OCD isn't letting me sleep![]()
Any suggestions/help would be appreciated!![]()

If it's still under warranty, get the bezel replaced. The clips that are supposed to hold it together probably snapped off for whatever reason, but without it, the display won't flex right and develop more cracks.
Gluing it together will also probably void any warranty for the display and hinges, look fugly, and probably unbond over time.
