I'll soon get my slim BD drive and I am thinking of turning this into an external drive. So my question is does anyone know a good enclosure that is not too expensive? Where to buy and such? Thx and I appreciate any response.

Odd that faceplate is not encluded. Faceplate expected to be part of particular chassis/enclosure, not part of the drive.

I bleeped up. The one I linked is PATA. They do have one with SATA here, but it's a bit more expensive. Just make sure you get the SATA one. I got the wrong one. I'm going to see if they can just send me the board.

The drive I am planning to make external came with my laptop originally and thus no faceplate.. :(

So now my question is does anyone know where to get a faceplate for my CA10N slim slot loading BD rom drive?

Faceplates are made for particular enclosure/case. You don't need just any faceplate, you need faceplate that will fit this enclosure.

All faceplates for given drive size use standard mating to the drive, so there is no such thing as specific "faceplate for CA10N", some sellers in this case will just give you faceplate from some of the laptops which have this drive as option (needless to say it may not fit this enclosure you want to use).

ive seen some goofy HP drives that normal faceplates dont fit on,otherwise, pretty much any "standard" faceplate will fit any "standard" drive
