Is a dedicated video card necessary to watch tv on a notebook via a slingbox or a usb tv tuner? Or will an integrated card work just fine?

    Thanks for any help!!!

Integrated cards will handle video streaming just as well. Dedicated cards will make a difference, but the difference would be negligable. In fact, the quality would almost be the same. No graphics are being rendered.

I have both my notebook (dedicated graphics) and desktop (integrated graphics) set up for digital TV.

There is no noticeable difference to me.
