I've been using a Pioneer DVR-K06 slot load DVD in one of my laptops for about 2 years. I have not had any problems but I have used it, almost exclusively to read or burn DVDs. I need two more slot load DVDs for other laptops. In my reading I've seen that these Pioneer's fail quickly if used to write Cds. Does anyone know of a solid, trouble free :)rolleyes:   ) slot load dvdr, that they'd recommend?

The one I have is a Sony Optiarc AD-7640S slot-loading DVD burner, and I've never had trouble with it. They also have a Blu-Ray model.
