I have a gateway NX860XL with a C2D T7200 and a 100 gig 7200 rpm HD, running Windows XP Pro. I've noticed a strange issue- When I right click on my recycle bin and click empty, sometimes it can take 30 seconds to empty during which time I can't do anything else but wait for the hourglass cursor to go away, and sometimes it happens instantly. It happens regardless of the file size of whatever is in the recycle bin. Is this some sort of hard drive hesitation or something?
