How come an 80GB 7200 RPM HD costs $204 while a 320GB 7200 RPM HD costs $89?

Must be an old discontinued HDD or something, where newegg never got around to change the introductory price.

The only guess I could make is that the 80Gb drive is a retail drive which would come in a manufacturer box. They usually cost more than an OEM drive which is just the bare drive wrapped in a anti-static bag and placed in a plain shipping box.
This same thing happens with versions of windows; retail box versions usually cost more than the system builder (oem) versions.
That 80Gb drive is a total rip-off! -
Yeah OEM doesnt come in fancy packaging. It also doesnt come with technical support.

dont you see?
Its a fujitsu thats why its $200
You have to pay more to get more
Its definitely a screw up.
I dont think 80gb drives ever cost $200
I remember when 100gb drives were $180 but i cant recall them costing over $200
K-TRON
Smaller HD costs more?
