Everytime i put my computer in sleep, it runs extremely loud...almost like it was at 100% cpu. Does this sound familiar to any of yall? any way to fix it

Depends on what you mean exactly. The CPU doesn't make any noise, even at 100%, so what is making the noise? The CPU fan? The harddrives? Or something else?

Does it immediatly rev up like that? Or are you closing the lid to your laptop and after it sits for a while you notice it?

Sometimes when I leave my laptop running with the lid closed it can really heat up. :p

Odds are he means the fans revving up. Is the laptop being left in a cluttered area? Clutter leads to poor airflow and thus, exess heat.

yeah, dragonesse its definatly the fans (sorry for not actually clarifying that up earlier)...but its no matter where i leave my computer, its always really loud. when im actually using my computer its much quieter. i can leave it open and be really quite and then right when it switches over to stand by the fans rev up and sounds like it has a hemi in there

hmm... almost sounds like some sort of wierd power setting. see if you can find a way to alter it in you rpower management software.
