This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    No. They all got better as of two minutes ago. You don't even need to keep the air vents covered anymore. They're now cooled by hell, which froze over.

    Coincidentally, every ATI owner spontaneously combusted at once. -Wait. Doesn't that Wii I bought...

    All 84xx and 86xx GPUs are supposedly affected. Others say that it's only certain revisions. Personally, I'd stay away from any 84xx and 86xx, and even early 88xx (though that's just desktop).

    As for 9xxx, I think you're probably safe.
