Alienware users will be complaining that there's no HDMI 2.0 AND that their cards are running slow (due to small power bricks). Perfect.

Well the Clevo P750ZM/P770ZM will have HDMI 2.0... At least the Eurocom version is certified for it due to the 4790K desktop processor although since all of them share same components, it should work in all models...

How? GeForce 900M doesn't support HDMI 2.0. The Clevo ZM is non-Optimus.

Yes because it's non-optimus and output is driven directly from GPU along with native HDMI 2.0 support from Z97 chipset, version 2.0 HDMI is supported.. Mobile Chipset's don't support HDMI 2.0 so yes technically it's Intel's fault..

Desktop 900 Series supports it. Mobile 900M Series does not.

How is it Intel's fault if 900M Series still stuck with HDMI 1.4 ports?

I'll be trying this shortly with my own P750ZM with 980m. Eurocom explicitly told me it has HDMI 2.0 support, so I am hoping for good things.

Indeed let us know how it goes... Eurocom have been boasting about this.. I hope they aren't proven wrong though..

Finally got around to trying this. I was in fact able to output a 4k, 60hz, 4:4:4 image over hdmi to a Samsung TV. I didn't think cable mattered, but it actually did. The first hdmi cable I used was a no go...a cheap cable matters thing from several years ago. Tried with an amazon basics, high speed with Ethernet cable and it popped right up. Defaulted to 30hz, but changed it in nvidias settings to 60hz and all was glorious. I was skeptical, but it works great in the P750zm. I would hypothesize this is a result of no optimus limiting the output of the video ports, because it did not work with the three other laptops I tried that also use a 980m, but employ optimus or a mux. (Not a surprise, but still wanted to try)
