First one I ever did...what a living breathing HELL I have been in for about 5 hours. Now, I finally have things working and I can't load my back up because I forgot the software for THAT...So I check my performance rating...I can't believe this a 7700 processor that usually shows a rating of at worst 4.6...now has a performance rating of 1.1....I have a feeling the entire next coming week is going to be torture...anyone have any suggestions to get back to where I was that might save me some time?...vista is&^%$#...thanks for listening :) Any insights would be appreciated.

Did you update your WEI? 1.1 is a standard score that indicates that our score needs to be updated...

WEI does not make any difference. It is the most useless benchmark in the book. Microsoft wanted a way for people to rank their systems in an easy way to see how they performed. Needless to say Microsoft screwed it up. The benchmark says absolutely nothing, and the values change from time to time.

If you really want to see how your system performs, download SISsandra, or in this case hdtune to see the actual speed of your drive.

    Agree completely...

Was just advising the OP based upon his original question, but you are right, it is quite pointless...

For example, you upgrade GPU drivers, and verify an increase in FPS, but your Gaming score in WEI either stays the same, or goes down??? is that about???

As stated, WEI is pointless bragging rights for the uninformed...

    HDTune and Prime95 FTW...

Hey hey wait you guys are not totaly right. If your computer rate's a 1 you cant run aero or use movie maker and some other stuff. Only if it rates a 1 and you didnt change anything like install video drivers.

or you have an .inf problem....

and you can hack the score to anything to enable those things if your score is off for no reason. G1S owners had to do it as they were getting a 1 for grapics even though it was working correctly.
