The Toshiba Satellite M45X seems to have opetions for both DDR PC2700 ram and DDR2 PC42000. What gives? Different mobos? The DDR version comes with a celeron-m instead of a p-m. I can't see that having any effect though. If it supports both then does the M30X support DDR2 PC4200 as well as the stock DDR PC2700? Thanks.

It would have to be a different mobo. Perhaps the model numbers are slightly different?

Yea I thought so. I hadn't heard of mobos that support both DDR and DDR2. Then again, a little while ago I had never heard of mismatched sticks running in dual channel, so I gues you never know till ya ask... ;)

There are some desktop boards that have DDR1 and DDR2 slots, not sure if they would/could pull that off in a laptop. I doubt it.
