For watching videos that have low audio, I usually use the internal audio filter to boost the volume in Media Player Classic. However, for flash videos embedded in web browsers, MPC can't work its magic on it. Is there anyway to boost the volume generally? Its usually not the problem of the speakers as I observed for the Volume Mixer in Windows Vista but the actual audio itself.
Regular music files and video files play at a reasonable volume. Only problem is flash videos.

I'm using Acer Aspire 6930Z, a toned down version of 6935 but still has the Dolby Home Theater speakers :)

    I am just thinking....

Flash videos - every flash video or just certain ones?

Flash videos can be louder than "regular audio" on my laptop...
Also, I have a feeling that IE is louder than Opera...

The best boost in audio would be an external soundcard - (like the X-Fi Go, i have it) but I suspect you don't want that.

Hmm,thanks for the suggestion. I will give it a go.

    ....Read carefully.

Well of course certain but for me its roghly about 70%. Have you ever went to South Park's official website to stream a video? Horrendously soft if you are on a laptop.

I haven't tried, not my "kind of stuff".
But if it were a say "global problem" then a soloution may be easier to find (drivers, hardware) - anyway: Good luck :)

Just notice that with SRS you have two master volumes, the old one from your sound card and new SRS, so make sure you adjust them both to get the highest volume.

which option did you choose to boost your laptop's speaker volume?
    I didn't see 2 master volume levels. There's only 1.

Go to CP, Sound and Audio devices, then Device Volume -> Advanced, a new window will open, master volume. this is the master volume for SRS, but if you go to options and then properties you will have an option to choose another "Mixer device" which in my case is my Realtek card. For this one you can also adjust volume independently of SRS, meaning if you put SRS to 80% and then go to other mixer you can increse it even more if it's not already at maximum. Or close to max.

A player with a decent amplifying capability can do great wonders, I'm pretty sure you can solve an issue like that true software.
