    Hi,

I will get my Acer TimelineX AS1830T-3721 soon. There is one mini pci-e slot, that is occupied by WiFi card and there is an empty area and connector tracks for second mini pci-e connector.

I wonder, if I but a connector and cleanly solder it to the place, would I need to know anything special about the laptop, bios, or smth?

I need that second slot to put EVDO card in it.

this is the connector, that I thought to buy: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

    any tip appreciated
