30gb is miniscule for the XPS1530. Can only load limited programs as it will fill up quickly.

The OCZ Vertex is awesome in the XPSM1530. I just put the 250GB Vertex in my XPSM1530 2 days ago and it flys like never before (I used to have the 160GB 7200rpm Hitachi HDD). But as Supermiguel says 30GB is not much space to play with. Also worth considering is the fact that the 120GB+ Vertex SSD's are faster than the 30GB and 60GB Vertex SSD's. Also the smaller the SSD the quicker it will wear out.

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
That being said, the Vertex is indeed a solid drive; it's not quite as fast as the X25-M, but it can approach Intel speeds in some select cases. Smaller drives will wear out faster than larger ones... but the MTBF for these things are supposed to be so big that this really won't matter.
Solid State for xps1530
