Ok, First post![]()
Now, Ive been wondering for sooo long If there is a difference in performance between laptop and pc hardware... I never get a good answer, just "NO THERE ISNT" or "LAPTOP HARDWARE IS SMALL SO IT SUCKS!"
So, can someone give me a good answer with an explanation?
BTW... ATM I have 1gig ram, 1.8ghz Amd turion 64 processor and a 128mb memory card and I cant even run simple games smooth on low quality... Is this because of my video card or laptop hardware?

This is because the video card is either integrated, or it is old. What laptop are you talking about?
For the most parts, laptops bite the heels of desktops in terms of performance...they are not that far behind at all. My laptop is faster than any PC my family owns, but my work PC is just a little faster than my laptop. -
The difference between laptop and desktop hardware is quite big. Desktops have faster hard drives, higher bus speed, powerful dedicated graphics cards, powerful CPUs, more sophisticated motherboards etc.
Your laptop running games poorly is most likely due to your graphics card. It could also be a software thing - like missing the correct drivers. -
Laptop is HP Presario V2000
Thanks for the replies
