Ok well 2 days ago i was watching a movie on my laptop and it worked fine which it ALWAYS does, but now the movie wont play longer than 20 minutes without exiting out and saying that there is no disk in the drive. Because it does this, i have to restart my computer constantly just to get 20 minutes of movie time. I also cant burn any of my music on a CD like i used to be able to because the formatting of the disk always fails. It will register the blank disk and then format it, fail the formatting at like 99% done, and then say theres no disk in the drive and wont read any disk i put in. What exactly is the problem with my computer? what should i do?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say your disk drive is bad (I'm assuming this is your CD/DVDROM). You could try cleaning off the lens/laser thingie with something, just be careful not to scratch it.
