    Hello
    I need some help please
I want to expand the memory of my vaio . it has 1gb with 533 data rate. the vaio official site says that the maximum memory of this model can be only 2 gb with a data rate of 533. The question is if i can install more than 2gb memory and the most important if i can install a double set of 667 data rate*sony says 533*. Is there any significant difference between 533 and 667?

and something else please.. I am trying to find a good new 2,5 extern hard disk.I would like to ask if it has any importance the puffer size.if it is 2mb or 4 mb, is it important?

    thank you very much

If you get 667, it will automatically clock down to 533, so it doesn't matter.
Better to be safe to just get 2x1GB sticks.

Buffer, the bigger the better. Normal 120GB 2.5 SATA drives are 8mb cache.
I dunno how much a really small cache would affect the performance of the HDD
