I have my nice new notebook & the memory stick slot mech. has gone faulty. The slot will take Duo's but the full size stick will not click in place.
I bought the notebook from Sonystyle USA when I was on vacation, big mistake! because Sony UK do not want to Know. So I will need to sent it back to the states to get it repaired, but Sony will not sent it back to me in Scotland, only to the Florida address to which it was orginally sent.
How easy is it to take my notebook apart & if I need a new memory stick mech. How can I get one & what will be involved to replace it?

You might be better off buying a USB card reader until you can get it serviced in the States.
