    Hello,

I have a sr190e The cmos indicates atapi for hard drive. It does not indicate size or anything else. I can save but the cmos will not close down. I remove power then reboot no hard drive recognized. I can use optical drive to load win 7 but it also sees no hard drive. I then used Win 7 repair and it shows a Drive: X 28 gig out of 32...but wait there is no drive x and the drive installed is a 60 gig and I did try a new drive 320 WD same results.

Anybody have any ideas aboout this situation

This is a camcorder or a notebook? From January 2007?

Time to call Sony (or drop it in the nearest garbage can and buy a new one)?

The only suggestion is to try this plugged into the AC power - if it is a power issue (batteries may be simply too weak to power it properly anymore), at least you'll know.

    Good luck.
