Hi all,
Does anyone know if the VGA out port on the SZ780 has video out capability where I could just use a VGA to S-video dongle?
Thanks,

Wouldn't you need a TV card for S-video?
-
Not necessarily. Some video cards use the unused pins in the VGA port for a video out signal where you can use an adapter such as this one.

Maybe you just had the wrong settings for the output, many that isn't familliar with tv-out via s-video or composit aren't aware that it's very common to get black/white picture if not having the correct settings connected to the TV.
Anyhow, VGA is just like tv-out but for computer screens, so yes, it should work to a tv with that VGA to s-video/composit. I use my Samsung 32" LCD-TV togheter with my VGA out. -
On the other hand a signal converter like this will definitely work.
