I Have a sony Vaio VPCEE2E1E which is running the stock Athlon II P320 @ 2.1ghz and 3gb of DDR3 1066. what i would like to do is replace the P320 for a N660 Phenom II @ 3000mhz.

The N660 is the same family as the P320 (Danube), Uses the same chipset (785GX), and the same socket (S1g4). It even has the same core stepping DA-C3. Its does have a higher FSB @1800mhz but i dont think thats a problem as this chipset supports that and the faster 1333mhz memory.

My main concern is that as the N660 was released a year after the P320 and my bios wont recognise it or will it ?

Anyone have any idea please ?
