Unfortunately I own a Sony Vaio B1XP which is well documented on the web for its poor TFT display. Can anyone help with suggestions on how I can make the screen much brighter?

In return my tip to help make the machine run faster is to do a system recovery from the recovery partition by hitting F10 on reboot, reinstalling windows but not opting to reinstall the (unnecessary) software that Sony have bundled with the machine.

Any help with making the screen lighter would by greatly appreciated as I do alot of design work on the machine and this proves to be very tricky judging whether I have colours and contrast right.

    Thanks
