Hi, I have a Sony Vaio PCG-FR415B notebook, which I am looking to upgrade from it's current spec to modernise it a little. It would be great if I could get some advice on the options available to me and whether it would simply be more cost-effective to buy a new laptop altogether. The current specs (with desired upgrade in brackets) are:

    - Intel Celeron 2.8GHz (no upgrade, that's enough processor speed even for a Celeron)
    - 512Mb DDR SDRAM 266MHz PC2100 (though it only shows up as 444Mb in System Properties. Can upgrade to 1Gb, and will probably look to do that)
    - 40Gb Hard Drive (probably sufficient)
    - CDRW/DVD combo (would like DVD+-RW, either internal or external option)
    - ATI Radeon IGP345M 64Mb Shared Video Memory (UMA) (would like dedicated graphics, either 64Mb or 128Mb)

    Any ideas please?
    Thanks!
