    Sony Vaio FW480J Replace Disk drive with SSD. Is this possible?

    First post, and YES I have little computer knowledge.

    I did some research on how to replace your CD/DVD Optical Drive Bay with a SSD using a caddy. However can I do it using a Vaio VGN-FW480J It seems like the disk drive looks custom made for the sony unibody. ( I'm not even sure if that made sense??!)

    Let me know your thoughts, steps, maybe even a link to the correct caddy I need to purchase. I've seen some how-to pages, but YES please link me to more.
    Anything helps!!

    My main reason for this is to improve speed and boot time for windows 8.
