Looking to upgrade the RAM.
Here it goes. CAS Latency. I have heard that in some cases if the processor and motherboard do not support a certain CL timing it becomes a moot point to get anything over CL5 or CL6.
Here is what I was thinking of getting....

Kingston HyperX Notebook Memory 2 gb x 2 PC2-6400 DDR2 800 with a CL4 and Latency Timings of 4-4-4-12. Will the SR290 be able to handle CL4?
Let me know. Thanks.

Nobody knows?

I do not know if your notebook will actually be using CL4.
But i know for a fact that it will gladly accept those modules and run at the lower possible timing at 1.8v.
I have the same modules in my vaio, and it runs CL4. Though you won't notice nor see any difference between cl4 and cl6 for an instance. -
Thanks for the assistance. I appreciate it.

you could always run CPUZ and find out what ram / voltage / timings your notebook has now.
