    Hi there, newby here.

I'm one of the folks who bought a VGN-CS11Z/R, I'm lucky not to be affected by the noisy fan, and I actually like my laptop, despite a few of the short-comings.

However, I want to make use of the Blueray capabilities of my Sony Laptop.

Is it possible to get a nice neat PCI ExpressCard with HDMI Output that would help with this.

I have tried googling and have decided that this forum would be the best place to seek help.

    Thanks,
    Ant

I don't think they have PCI ExpressCards with HDMI. If you can find one, I don't see why it wouldn't work if they make it. Since you will be looking for an "adapter" solution, make sure it outputs 1080p because you could lose picture quality when signals are changing via the adapter. I found this on newegg, but max resolution is 1600x1200. I can't believe Sony or any company would make a laptop with blu-ray and not have an HDMI port.

Doesn't the CS series have a HDMI out? I was considering it when i was buying a laptop.. if it doesn't good choice that i got the Hp... Are u really sure you don't have a HDMI output? Sony wouldn't be dumb to get a laptop with a blue ray player but no HDMI out..
