I got a sound mixer with a Firewire, but the Sony Vaio laptop does not have a Firewire port.

I am thinking of getting a Firewire to PCMCIA ExpressCard like this one.

    Newegg.com - SIIG NN-EC2022-S1 2 Ports FireWire 400 ExpressCard

I am wondering if there a solution like an Firewire to USB adapter that will let me connect the mixer to a USB adapter that plugs into the laptop's USB port.

Or is the ExpressCard the best solution?
