    Hey guys,
wondering if anyone could help identify the problem with my new A500-02U,

    SPECS
    2.66 GHz
    4GB RAM
    Nvidia GeForce 230 1GB
    Realtek sound with Harman/Kardon Speakers
    Blu Ray slot
    Windows 7 64 Bit

So, the problem is my speakers are putting out an infrequent rather low volume pop/click noise. It seems to happen on and off throughout different apps whether or not any music/video is playing. I did a little snooping and have seen some people have conflicts with Nvidia. Any ideas? Im a bit of a noob. Should I try upgrade drivers? Do i do that via my control panel or by searching the net?
Any help would be awesome :)

As a new notebook system, I would go to the manufacturers website, download any updates to the current Audio, Video and any other hardware/software driver that is installed on your system currently and proceed to update as many as you find.

Do not download/install drivers that are not from your notebook's manufacturer - that is asking for the kinds of issues you're describing and also a very unstable and unreliable system.

Although a different driver may seem to be for the hardware your notebook has, keep in mind that more than likely, the manufacturer has made the hardware in your notebook 'theirs' by either a custom firmware for the hardware in question, or simply needs a custom driver to keep other non-related hardware happy.

Stay with your notebook manufacturers drivers and if the issue(s) persist, RMA the notebook for a new one.

You may also try a 'restore' of your notebook before you RMA it and/or if there are no updated drivers on their website. Be sure you have copied all your data to a safe place first (like a USB key, or an external HD).

    Good luck.
