I have a high quality microphopone and a small mixing board... I have been trying to use it for gaming and Voice overs in game videos and reviews... however I am getting a high pitched whine in the background... I can still record fine, however it is just annoying and I would like it to be as subtle as possible... anyone have any hints or tips to share....

BTW I have a Pevey I2 Mike, and an Alesis Phantom mixing board

Turning up the Gain and reducing the equalizers helped a bit... but the problem still remains, I have it set to small room settings on the mixer... but the fact remains I don't know a whole lot about recording! lol Help!
