    Hi,

I've got an lg p300 13 inch laptop, and I'd like to buy a 5.1 home audio system that I could hook up to my lappy. I'm not sure if my laptop can support that. Can anyone let me know if it does, how I can find it out or if I can install a new card please?

I'll also need supgestions on sound sytems, if anyone knows one woth good price performance, please let me know.

    Thanks a lot

you should be able to run a decent set of speakers. The logitech Z5500 is a great 5.1 surround sound system for the money. I have the Z5500 for about three years, and it works pretty good. Just keep the subwoofer away from harddrives cause it can cause lots of vibration. Also the back of the sub gets really hot, so make sure you have some space if you decide to go that route.

What audio ports do you have on your laptop?
    Standard headphone, mircophone?
or do you have any others, like a creative pccard, or something like that?
