No idea, good question though. I'm not sure AMD has even commented on ever manufacturing their current gen of mobile chips on 65nm. They may just keep them on 90nm until next year. I do remember hearing that they would still be manufacturing 90nm into next year. Odd as it is, it may be that mobile chips are the last to make the transition.

I believe they are looking at releasing their next gen mobile chip middle of next year. Those are suppose to be 65nm.

    Anyone know for sure?

Boy was I off! Glad to hear that they are out there though. There is no mention of 65nm Turions on AMD home page that I could find.

Anyone know if anything changed in terms of performance or power consumption? I recall the desktop move to 65nm was basically a non-event for AMD.

Yeah it's not much of an improvement, except for obviously the die shrink and somewhat faster clockspeeds (up to 2.3). They should help with the heat output overall, but besides that they are still K8 based and nothing new core wise.

I guess it may be a while before we see them in a refresh for the HP consumer line. Hopefully they will be using the new chipset from the upcoming business line..............
