This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Sqaure Trade -- a good alternative??

    I didn't know what to post this under, but I guess you can think of it as an aftermarket upgrade.
    As far as service plans, or extended warranties are concerned, does anyone here have experience with both Square Trade and an Service plan from one of the big retailers like Best Buy, Circuit City, or Office Max??
    If so, what is your opinion?
    It could be that I didn't read carefully enough, but looks to me like Square Trade is so much less than BB for example, that I was wondering if it was a good idea, or not.
