    Got a T5200 off EBay.
    Installed it, works fine.
Ran Orthos for an hour, was fine, no errors.
But there is this weird stain on the CPU. I tried to clean/remove it with ArtiClean, but no luck.

Is this something, that I should worry about..?? :D

Is it teh stain on the actual core IHS, the finger print like one?
or the black stain around the silver piece.
Either way you should not worry about it too much. The blac stain around the cpu is just adhesive residue from the actual manufacturing of the chip, so that is not a problem. The small stain on teh actual core by the fingerprint, may be from manufacturing of the chip, or from the chip overheating.
If it is running fine, than i wouldnt worry about it.
You may want to try nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol on a q-tip to try and clean it better.

Yeah, the grey stain in the upper-left corner.
I'll try using Nail-Polish Remover, though I tried to clean it with Arti-Clean 1 and 2, but had no luck getting rid of it.
I guess it must be becuase of the CPU overheating (bought used)....though it seems to be running fine for now (idle 42*C).

Looks like a fingerprint, the oils from the skin can contaminate the coating on the core especially after it heats up. You don't need to worry about it, this won't affect the CPU in anyway.

Oh really. Could be..!! I guess the previous seller might be living in an *oily* environment.
I guess that means is not that big an issue - to have an oil stain on the CPU.. :D

[Unable to remove it using Nail-Polish Remover and ArtiClean..!!]

that is really odd, if it cant be removed with even acetone (nail polish remover) than I would say that those fingerprints are under the thin coating on top of the chip. I wouldnt worry at all, if it is not removable. That cpu would have to have be running well over 100C for fingerprints yo burn in and leave a mark. I dont think anyone would do that. Someone at Intel may have been handling the cpu, and forgot to polish the core before having it sealed with whatever chemicals they use.

Andy just forget about the clear Plexiglas display of the CPU. All will be good.

I guess its nothing to worry about then. :)
Also I have been running Orthos for the past 11 hours on stock frequency and for 8 hours at overclocked frequency, and recieved no errors.

Cheers for the help and advice.. :)

I guess I can update my Sig Specs now.
